floor for so long I think I need to stand up and stretch out my legs why don't you join me stretch up high and touch the sky ready one 2 3 4 four good job touch your toes but not your nose one two three four and bend your knees or they will freeze one 2 3 4 and of course take a breath because it's the best and breathe out good stretching K Vision kids I'm so excited today I have something to tell you come a little closer can you guess what day it is it's shiny's birthday oh oh I want it to be a surprise I want surprise shiny with a very special birthday cake but I'm not sure how to make it beautiful H it looks like someone's calling us let's see who it [Music] is it's Shayla a cake designer hi Shayla hi Miss Benny how are you I was just going to call you because I need help decorating a birthday cake for shiny that sounds great we have a cake decorating class this afternoon with the kids so you can stay afterwards and we can make a cake together for shiny that would be fantastic thank you so much yay so I will see you later see you soon come on Kid Vision kids it's time to bake it happen it's time for a kid mission [Music] it smells so good in here and look at all these cake decorating supplies this is the place to come if you want to decorate a cake we are in the right place let's look around there's cake drums this is what you put your cake on top of to present it and look at all the colors what's your favorite color M there's wonderful things here for cake decorating let's look over here let's see look at these oh my goodness this place is fabulous I'm so happy to be here hi kids hi I am so excited to meet you and I am thrilled to learn how to design cakes Hi how are you Miss p welcome to me cake house so let's get started I will give you one of our aprons okay and you can start helping out thank you are you excited I'm very excited [Music] okay Miss penny so the cake is ready so you'll take it out of the oven and you will leave it on the table then you will flip it over and we'll let it cool down okay here we go I have an oven mitts because it's hot since it was in the [Music] s awesome that's wonderful it smells so good I know right yes fantastic now that it's cooled off what's the next step okay so you will drop the cake you will flip it over on the table and then we will level the cake together oh my goodness a it's beautiful basically we will have to get rid of the top okay so it's leveled on the board and it's nice and flat and perfect so we can Frost it okay okay so grab this machine you can do it with a knife but this is a little bit easier you'll go like this and you will just get rid of the top okay we're ready we're ready for yes cake decorating awesome so let's go to the workshop so right now the cake is clean MH and we're going to bring it out and we're going to make a birthday cake for shiny yay wonderful so we'll start with the decorations how do you describe your job cake designer I'm a baker and I create uh specialty cakes for kids and adults actually for every occasion for birthday parties for baby showers bridal showers for weddings for all kinds of events it's fun it's a fun job it just like it it was a hobby that became my my daily job so you followed your heart and things that you really love to do and you made a profession out of it exactly but you're really a designer because you do more than just decorate a cake you really come up with Concepts and create individualized cakes and cupcakes and cookies you listen to your customer they tell you what they want for their special occasion and you envision and you create something special for them it's a very nice process to see like you start from scratch and then you create a beautiful like piece of art it's Edible art Edible art that makes everyone happy exactly that's a really nice thing to do so let's talk a little bit about the tools that you use of course is a spatula we use this to ice the cakes let's talk about fondant fondant is a thick paste made of sugar and water and often flavored and colored used in making candy and decorating pastries and cakes every time you use it I have to move it and rehydrate it until you make like a very very flexible dough it is it's like a hard silly PTY exactly but you can eat it exactly that's great this is a rolling pain then we have edible markers what does that mean it means that you can paint and do your own art or write a message and you can eat it afterwards and we have some sprinkles this is the Pan part yes then we have the piping gel remember the piping gel yes from the class so it's like glue exactly that you can eat it exactly yes I love it we have a scraper this is for the frosting this is after we use the the spatula the spatula we'll go you will see okay it will be fun what else we have looks just like shiny I found the perfect one actually I was so excited because I found that's awesome and last but not least the icing and you can color it the way you want okay so let's get started yes so the first core we using is the what color is this it's the same color as shiny what color yellow first of all we have to knit it to warm it up so we'll have to squeeze it and stretch it and Fold It many many times so first of all we are cutting a star right so how how should we do that first of all we need kind of like a perfect ball right and I will measure it it should fit right I think so and I will with both hands I will press press press press press can you press let's press I will shake it a little bit oh okay let's do some shaking and let's see here it's perfect y and now it's time to make the eyes Okay and next cor I'm using is the white okay first make a good ball so you would press and roll and press and roll and press and roll and press and roll and then you would go like back and forth back and forth back and forth until you make like a a little candy yes like a little oval so what else would we put on Chinese cake now we have to use our imagination exactly let use your imagination because you are the designer what would we put on shiny cake so since we are celebrating its birthday I think he will be holding a Piping Bag and decorating its own birthday cake oh my goodness I think shiny is going to love it yay this gets more exciting by the [Music] moment now it's time to work on the real cake that we're going to put all these amazing decorations so we'll grab our angle spatula spatula [Music] okay now remember the scraper yes we'll hold it like this like very very close to the cake okay and we will go all around all around awesome yes and the center of the little cake like this and it will be over here standing up oh it's so pretty and now we'll add some [Music] sprinkles I would be right back oh I have to take a look at this beautiful cake the cake is just perfect do you think shiny is going to love it shiny I'm so glad you're here happy birthday happy birthday this is your birthday cake it's so and adults for every occasion and any kind of event what was that word cake designer good job fondant fondant is a thick paste made of sugar and water often flavored and colored used in making candy Kid Vision kids we learned how to decorate a birthday cake now let's play and practice decorating by using Play-Doh instead of fondant let's see squish it and squish it how about this shape what shape is that Circle it's a circle right and what color is it pink it's pink good job let's try another one let's try this color this is kind of a nice color I'm going to use this shape what shape is that triangle it's a triangle and what color is itown it's brown good job oh I think I can make something out of this what does this look like ice cream that's right it's an ice cream cone way to go Kid Vision kids there's still more to do to find out about super delicious deserts on this Mission we need some ice cream to go with our cake so so let's go to an ice cream par are you ready we're going on a [Music] mission I'm Miss Penny and these are the Kid Vision kids and we're here today to order and to find out about ice ice cream what's ice cream ice cream is a frozen tasty treat when you come into our ice cream parlor you'll see a lot of people working but the first person you're going to see is your server and that's the person who brings you your menus and makes sure that you get everything that you'd like this is our server she takes care of us at the table so our server just gave us menus and the menus give us all the flavors of the ice cream that we can choose CH from okay we have vanilla cinnamon chocolate strawberry rocky road and chocolate brownie crackle wow there are a lot of ice creams to choose from so now the server is going to come and she's going to take our order to bring back to the kitchen are you ready to tell her what you would like here she is we're going to give her our order what flavor would you like what would you like vanilla vanilla vanilla ice cream choc chocolate chocolate I'll have Oreo ice cream please chocolate chocolate and what you vanilla chocolate vanilla chocolate vanilla and chocolate he's getting a mixture of ice cream see she takes our order she puts it in the computer and then she's going to deliver it to everybody to everybody thank you so much thank you you know when you're waiting for food at a restaurant you have to wait while they cook the food and so what we're going to do is while we're waiting and we're going to play a game called I Spy I Spy little I red she spies with her little eyes something red can you find something red A traic light a traffic light I spy something that has a big wheel he spyed something with a big wheel can you spy something with a big wheel whoo right there a bike I spy with my little eye a lantern there look oh I see it you got it you see it I see it okay kids the next thing we're going to do is to get ready to make some ice cream today we're going to make my favorite flavor Oreo and the first thing we have to do to make Oreo ice cream is to break up some Oreos so I'm going to give you each a plate now I want you to count along with me out loud okay starting with 1 1 2 3 4 4 four five very good okay now you're each going to get an Oreo and let's count along again okay one [Music] 2 3 three four four five five does each child have one one Oreo yeah yes so how many Oreos do we have all together five okay kids now you can take your Oro and just break it up oh you're going to break and put it right on your plate can you break them apart oh you did it good good job they're going to go into the ice cream so you want to make them nice and small there you go it now break it apart Conor are you ready to see how the ice cream machine works yes okay [Music] he let's take kitchen sink a kitchen sink is Jackson's signature ice cream creation and we make it in a little kitchen sink the kitchen sink we're going to make is going to have 12 scoops of ice cream oh my gosh 12 scoops of ice cream what is a scoop a scoop is a big spoonful [Music] nah thanks for helping us make a kitchen sink well thanks for helping me make the kitchen sink kids it's awesome a creamy texture what flavor do you think it is chocolate that's correct it's chocolate M it smells delicious and very chocolatey did you know that chocolate is made from the fruit of a cacao tree and smells very sweet like vanilla did you know that vanilla is made from a vanilla Orchid seed good job this one is so pretty I spy with my kid Vision I something pink it also feels cold it has a creamy texture with little pieces of something inside it what is it strawberry that's correct it's [Applause] strawberry oh it's so refreshing it smells very fruity strawberry ice cream is made from a fruit fun to eat and they taste delicious but we need to make sure we balance them with healthy food and eat them under adult supervision and we made a big M at this birthday party let's clean up we had the sweetest day ever on this kid vision mission we learned about desserts we learned how to decorate a cake and all about ice cream I'm so glad you could join us to celebrate shiny's birthday happy
