They like to run restaurants, for some reason.
I don't know.
(laughs) I don't know why.
When you get a pizza in Greece, it comes in a big, thick, round pan.
It gives it a flaky crust.
The style of pizza that I sell is considered a Greek pizza.
(upbeat music) Our specialty pizzas are a fan favorite.
- I get extra, extra bacon.
(laughs) I love bacon.
- Number 55!
- They have the best pizza, and the best grinders in the world.
- It tastes good the first time.
And if I have it the next day, it tastes just as good.
- There's not much to it.
Eggs.
Lots of eggs.
(liquid sloshing) Good flour, and a good yeast.
(machine whirring) Oh man, I tell everybody my recipe.
(laughs) There's not much to it.
But the thing is, before I sell them, they have to sit in the pan for a good two or three hours.
We have to come in at 4:00 in the morning to start them.
(utensil chopping) (gentle music) My uncles and my father and mother, they've been doing the same thing since day one.
Nothing's changed in 50 years, isn't it?
No, no, no.
When my parents came from Greece, there was a coup.
It was just a mess.
The only thing good back then was tourism.
So if you didn't have a hotel or if you weren't working at a restaurant, there was no opportunity.
So my uncles, they brought my mother, dad, and my sister over here.
They came here with just their suitcases, and my uncle had the recipe, these pans, and then the pizza.
And the place just took off instantly.
And it was my mother.
My mother kind of tweaked everything.
She was amazing.
She was in here every day working with all of us.
She was the heart of this place.
- [Mark] Hello, Brenda.
- Morning!
- [Mark] Good morning, how are you?
- Good, good to see ya.
- That's awesome.
Yes, it's awesome to see you too.
It's an awesome day.
(bright upbeat music) - [Costy] The people that work for me, I love them like family.
- Number 62!
We are all very close.
It is very much like a family here.
- Honestly, I don't think Brenda and I ever had an issue, which is pretty cool too, 'cause we like work close.
- [Costy] Brenda, she's been here since 40 years.
She does everything except to pay the bills, I guess.
- I can't even get sick of the food.
(Mark speaking indistinctly) (laughs) I can still eat it every day.
(bright upbeat music) - Even the customers, we end up all knowing their first names.
- [Costy] We have regulars that come two, three times a week.
- It's always so nice to see you.
(customers speaking indistinctly) - They're always so nice, and their food is so good.
It's been a joy to come.
(bright upbeat music) - We're number 86 today.
These are just the receipts that I sketch on.
I usually just start doodling and I don't know what's gonna come up.
- That will be in the honey?
- Yep.
(laughs) (bright upbeat music) (gentle bright music) - [Costy] I love my customers.
I love seeing them all the time.
This is a really special place.
- Well, I've been doing this place for how long?
I'd say 30 years.
So yeah, I've got quite a few memories.
- I was born and raised in Lewisburg, and I remember when they came to town.
- Oh my heavens, we lived here in high school.
So, we probably had memories every weekend.
(gentle bright music) - They just really take care of me very well, so, they always have.
They'll carry my food to the car.
They, I mean, they do everything for me.
So, except eat the food.
I eat the food, so.
(laughs) - Somebody stole his car one time right in front of the shop, (chuckles) and then there was a high speed chase and then they ended up wrecking his car.
(gentle bright music) But then the community, we all got together, and we all bought him a brand new car.
- Everybody's just, they're like family here.
(gentle bright music) - And then my two uncles and my dad and my mom, yeah, their spirits here.
This place meant a lot to them.
It meant the world to them, the world.
This place was everything to them, and I'm glad I'm still doing it.
(gentle bright music)
